Nationals Senator to debate the Greens’ Lee Rhiannon

The NSW Nationals Senator, Fiona Nash, says she’s pleased the Greens Senate candidate, Lee Rhiannon, has agreed a debate.

“Lee Rhiannon originally challenged my Nationals senate colleague, John Williams, to a debate, but has since agreed to debate me instead,” Senator Nash.

“It makes more sense given I’m the senator up for re-election and who she’s trying to replace.”

Because there are so many issues that affect regional people across Australia, Senator Nash and Lee Rhiannon will do a televised debate on Sky News next Wednesday morning.

Another debate will be held later that day in regional New South Wales, at the Ag Quip field days near Gunnedah.

“I look forward to debating Lee Rhiannon and how the Nationals is the best party to represent regional communities,” Senator Nash said.
