Nationals Senator for NSW and Deputy Leader of the Nationals in the Senate, Fiona Nash, said today she's pleased apples growers will be able to have their voice heard on the importation of apples from China.
"The Rural, Regional Affairs and Transport References Committee's inquiry into the importation of apples from China will be holding a hearing this Thursday in Sydney.
"Apple growers will be giving evidence regarding their concerns with the Import Risk Analysis process.
"It is extremely important to the apple industry that they have the opportunity to be heard on this vital issue.
"The Minister, Tony Burke has completely ignored the concerns of the apple industry. Apple growers deserve better." Senator Nash said.
The Rural, Regional Affairs and Transport References Committee inquiry will be held at Stamford Airport Plaza on Thursday, 1 July from 8.30am-10.30am
