Senator Fiona Nash, Deputy Leader of the Nationals in the Senate and Senator for New South Wales, has this afternoon said that Julia Gillard has been up to her elbows in every failed disastrous policy and program of the Rudd Labor Government and that this is same old Labor just with a new union installed lieutenant. “As a Shadow Minister she was an under performer, as Deputy Prime Minister she was a disaster and completely disregarded regional Australia and now the Government are trying to have us believe she is a fresh start, Senator Nash said. “The truth is up until the early hours of this morning when disloyalty reigned and Ms Gillard’s phone was running hot with calls from union powerbrokers she was a famous member of Mr Rudd’s ‘Gang of Four’ and as such was a major contributor to the Rudd Government’s policy failings. “Throughout her Deputy Prime Ministership Ms Gillard has been at the helm of what must be the greatest waste of taxpayer’s money since Federation, the bungled BER school halls rip off as well as the famous broken promise of a school lap top for every student. Just like Minister Gillard’s word to Mr Rudd that he had her support, her promise to parents about computers in schools was a furphy. “Ms Gillard had a key seat at the decision making table and as such cannot be labelled any different then what she is – a disloyal Deputy Prime Minister and failed Minister. “Ms Gillard played a major part in the home insulation program debacle and she was also the chief operator of the Labor Government’s appalling treatment of regional students through the Youth Allowance changes which essentially saw country kids left out in the cold by a Deputy Prime Minister and now Prime Minister that doesn’t understand the regions. “Let’s not forget she continues to be in the famous shadow of Mark Latham, she was his numbers girl and played a pivotal role in Mark Latham’s ascension to the Labor Leadership and the con that was Medicare Gold and Latham’s famous private school hit list. “Ms Gillard’s scorecard as Deputy PM and a senior Minister leaves much to be said about her level of competency. If her treatment of the regions as Mr Rudd’s deputy is anything to go by people in rural and regional Australia should be extremely concerned and worried at the reality that is now Prime Minister Gillard.
