Page Nationals preselect Kevin Hogan

Senator Fiona Nash has congratulated Clunes small business operator Kevin Hogan on his preselection as The Nationals’ candidate to contest the seat of Page in next year’s federal election.

“I am delighted that Kevin has chosen to offer his considerable business experience and local knowledge to the people of Page,” Senator Nash said.
“Kevin is just the bloke to put the North Coast back on Canberra’s radar screen. The Nationals’ Kevin will hold his more famous Labor namesake to account when it comes to the North Coast and he has my unqualified and enthusiastic support.
“In endorsing Kevin Hogan, the North Coast Nationals have chosen someone who is smart, locally focussed and determined to get a better deal for his community.
“I have been a frequent visitor to the North Coast, especially since the last election, and each time I listen to local people they are more and more concerned with the Labor Government’s neglect of the region.
“Labor made lavish promises about taking over hospitals from their dysfunctional state colleagues, delivering fast broadband and fixing the Pacific Highway, but it turned out to be all talk and no action.”
Senator Nash said Janelle Saffin is driven by Canberra and Kevin Rudd’s decisions are her decisions.
“She represents the views of the Prime Minister, not the views of the people of Page. Kevin Hogan is a proud member of the only party exclusively committed to regional Australia.”
