Senator Fiona Nash is delighted to have received the endorsement of the NSW Nationals Central Council to take the top spot for the Nationals on the Coalition Senate ticket for the next half-Senate election.
“It is been an honour and a privilege to represent all the people of NSW since my election as a Senator and I am humbled to accept my party’s nomination,” Senator Nash said.
Senator Nash, who entered Federal Parliament on July 1 2005, offered her congratulations to Joe Dennis who is a member of the Young Nationals and will also stand for the Senate.
“It is an exciting time for the Nationals, the party for Regional Australia, to have someone the calibre of Joe willing to run. This is the first step in what promises to be a big political career for him.
“I want to thank all the members of the Central Council for their continued support of my work as a Senator. I also would like to thank my husband, David, and sons Will and Henry for their love and support.”
