SENATOR NASH OPENS NEW-LOOK BURRINGBAR SCHOOL OF ARTS HALL

NSW Nationals Senator Fiona Nash today visited Burringbar to officially open the recently renovated Burringbar School of Arts Hall. Senator Nash said the Federal Coalition Government’s Regional Partnerships programme funding of more than $27,000 assisted in renovating and painting the hall, landscaping the garden and erecting a deck. In unveiling the revamped hall, Senator Nash said the project was the perfect example of what can be achieved by local communities committed to the sustainability of their region. “The hall is obviously a very important piece of infrastructure for the community here in the area and I congratulate all involved in making this project such a great success,” Senator Nash said. “The wonderful efforts of the Burringbar School of Arts Hall Committee and the local community in bringing their hall up to this standard are a testament to what this hall means to this community. “The upgrade of the hall will ensure the sustained and increased use of the building by the local community for years to come.” Senator Nash also congratulated those who had provided financial support for the project. “I’d like to acknowledge the financial support provided by the Burringbar School of Arts Hall, the Community Development and Support Expenditure Scheme and ABC Australia’s Open Garden Scheme.” The Federal Coalition Government’s Regional Partnerships programme continues the Government’s approach of working with local communities to support their ideas.
